Out with the gray

Gray ruled the roost for close to a decade. Agreeable Gray, Worldly Gray, Dorian Gray, Repose Gray… While some real estate agents still lean on these colors to sell a home, homeowners seem to be going with white walls. Snowbound, Alabaster, Pure White, Simply White, etc, both for interior and exterior. White ceilings, walls, stucco and siding with dark accent colors on cabinets, mantels, eaves, fascia, front doors and garage doors. The farm house look is making a comeback in a big way and for good reason. While color trends seem to come and go, this old color scheme is classic and Is a safe route that will stand the test of time.

Another great reason for painting the body white, aside from it looking sharp with dark trim, is how easy it is to maintain. Like a white car, it hides dirt fairly well and can also be touched up a lot easier than dark colors. Even with little kids running around, it is alot easier to touch up fingerprints on lighter color walls than dark ones. It also can make your space feel and look a lot bigger.
